Description
Nymphaea “Panama Pacific” Day blooming Viviparous. Bred by Tricker 1914. Will over winter in zones 9 to 11. Plant size is Medium. Flower is a cup shape purple, 4” to 7” across. Leaves are green 3“ to 12“ across. Has a 2.5’ to 8’ spread. Best to grow in 6” to 18” of water. Flowers are very fragrant and stand well above the waters surface. You can grow this one in a one, two or three gallon container. Good for earthen ponds as well. Panama Pacific’s are very popular because of the purple blooms. This is one of the most dependable water lilies out there. It freezes here about 40 to 50 times a year and Panama Pacific’s will still bloom all winter long for us.
